They are one of the speediest animals on our planet, running up to 53 miles an hour. Although not an antelope, they are known as such because of their resemblance to true antelopes of the old world.
They blend in with the environment.
What a life! Roaming freely on the open plains of Utah to go where they want when they desire! Until hunting season arrives!!
These pronghorns were in Wyoming. When I first encountered the animals and attempted to photograph them, I was slightly surpised that they took off leaping and running. I was thinking that they would stand there and pose for me like the Key deer do back home.
