Curiousity impelled me to research how many people have died or been injured by deer attacks. Although I found no data on Key Deer attacks, I did see documentation on white-tailed deer attacks on the mainland, mainly occurring during the rut or when a person was between a doe and fawn. Those hooves are sharp and I know that amongst each other the deer can be very aggressive.
The antlers can be deadly. The deer on this island have been evolutionized to lick the hands that feed them, so chances of deadly deer attacks are minimal.
The marsh is filled with the sound of songbirds. Northern Male Cardinal.
