I heard a large splash, over and over again, and my attention was drawn to an Osprey exhibiting hunting behavior. He would flutter in one position over the swamp about ten feet high and I could see that his razor-sharp eyes were intently focused on what lie beneath in the marsh water. He dove into the water to come out with his talons empty and again he would try until he succeeded in capturing his prey. Instead of eating the fish the bird flew low above the trees. Knowing where the nest was, I followed him and found the two birds together. He brought the fish to her. After fluttering about, he landed on top of her with a light touch. I was witnessing the mating dance of the Osprey Eagle.
