I never know what surprises await me as I begin my trek across the swamp to the other side. Today instead of one hundred Pelicans I saw an overturned windsurfer in the same spot. There were no Pelicans around but if so, they might think the surfer was one interesting creature to be wary of. The jellyfish, which I found at the same time, is designed similarly to the windsurfer. It too glides across the ocean from the surface and uses its body as a sail. It’s as if the inventors of windsurfing first examined a By-The-Wind Sailor and modeled it after the ocean creature.
