This is the same Great White Heron I have been photographing for weeks.
The Gumbo Limbo Tree is also known as the Tourist Tree, because it is red and peels like the commonly found tourist in the region. The bark of the tree is a good antedote for Poisonwood, which grows nearby.
This raft has been in the same spot for over a year, most likely belonging to Cuban freedom seekers. It is a favorite place for boats to land, as it has been at least the fourth one I have seen here in two years. Hope they are faring better than their boat.
