Learning to eat which plants on the island are the delicacies.
He was trying to nurse every chance he got.
This buck is most likely the fawn’s father.
It was also learning how to eat from the residents on the island and to become fearless of people at this young age already as I witnessed a woman hand-feeding the deer over a fence from her backyard. She was unconcerned that feeding the deer is strictly prohibited and that it is bad for their health. I wonder if she will feel the same way when the islands’ enforcement will show up (up to a $500 fine). I heard her calling the deer by name!
A Key Deer family!
